The one place we run BetterFaith from, every week.
Everything we’re working on, who owns it, and what we committed to lives here. This page explains what the hub is and exactly how to use it — start here, then work left to right through the tabs.
How to use this hub — every week
Six tabs, in order. Do them top to bottom and nothing falls through the cracks.
Read the weekly memo
Every week starts with a short memo from Dakota. Open Weekly Memo and read it first — it sets the theme and what matters most.
Check what you own
Go to Who Owns What and find the workstreams with your name. You own the outcome — that means you keep it moving and pull the other person in only when it helps.
Work your action items
Action Items is our to-do list for the week. Click the status on each one as you go: Not started → In progress → Done.
Log your numbers
On the Scoreboard, type in how many things you did this week — churches contacted, follow-ups, onboarding steps. If it isn’t tracked, it isn’t moving.
Come to the meeting ready
The Meeting tab is our weekly agenda. We walk this whole hub together and set next week’s commitments.
The weekly rhythm
Read & set targets
Read the memo, confirm the workstreams you own, and set your target numbers for the week on the Scoreboard.
Do the work, log it
Work your action items, update their status, and keep your Scoreboard numbers current. Raise your hand early if anything is stuck.
Review together
We walk the hub top to bottom, look at inputs vs. targets, clear blockers, and lock in what each of us owns next week.
How we work
Five simple rules that keep both of us driving inputs and outputs — visible, tracked, and tied to a target.
Cole — raise your hand quickly, early, and often. If something is blocked, unclear, not working, or needs a decision, surface it before it becomes a lost week.
This week’s memo
Read this first. It’s the note from Dakota that sets the theme for the week. Your specific to-dos live in the Action Items tab.
Move from good intentions to clear operating systems. Operationalize our resources, sharpen ownership, and increase the pace of measurable inputs and outputs.
This week is about moving from good intentions to clear operating systems. We should know who owns each workstream, what success looks like, and what concrete activity is happening every week.
Updates from Dakota
A note on resources
Now that I’m W-2, my take-home is roughly half of what it was — so I don’t have the same personal resources to put into BetterFaith financially right now. That means we need to be especially disciplined about the opportunities that cost us little or nothing: church partnerships, warm introductions, organic content, and revenue-share affiliates. We get in front of people through our time and relationships, not cash.
Momentum reset
The last few weeks have felt stalled — less energy, fewer inputs, not enough consistent forward motion. We’ve invested too much into BetterFaith to let it drift. I want us to rally quickly, spend our time where it creates real leverage, and increase the cadence of what we put into the business each week. Not more ideas — more at-bats.
We don’t need more ideas right now as much as we need consistent execution against the opportunities already in front of us. The goal is clearer ownership, more at-bats, faster learning, and visible forward motion every week.
Who owns what
Every workstream has one owner. Find the cards with your name — you drive the outcome, keep it moving, and pull the other person in only when it helps.
Action items
Click the grey status button on any item to update it as you go: Not started → In progress → Done. It saves automatically on this device.
Scoreboard
Type your number into each box as you go. The grey number to the right is the target we set for the week. Most results take many touchpoints — a first outreach is the start, not the finish.

The meeting
We run this together. Follow the agenda top to bottom, then check off what we finished the week with. Both of us should come having read the memo and updated our own tabs.
Agenda
Wins & updates
Two minutes each. What shipped, what moved, what we learned since last week.
Scoreboard review
Walk the numbers vs. targets. Where are we ahead, where are we behind, and what should we do more of?
Workstream check-ins
Owner-led. Dakota on affiliates, funnels & landing pages. Cole on onboarding, churches, Threshold & guides. Update statuses live.
Blockers & escalations
Anything stuck, unclear, or needing a decision. Raise it here before it becomes a lost week.
Commitments for next week
Confirm the target and deadline for each workstream. Every commitment gets a number and a date.
